- Discolored skin
- Liver or age spots
- Broken blood vessels

Also referred to as Photofacial or Photo-rejuvenation, this non-invasive, painless technique employs light-based energy to penetrate deep into the skin, treating targeted areas of discoloration and irregular pigmentation at their source for a more even, healthy skin tone.
BEFORE YOUR TREATMENT
- For your safety and security, your technician may ask some medical questions before your procedure. Please notify them if there are any changes to your health status or skin analysis i.e. if you are pregnant, using new medications, recently had been exposed to the sun, or using self-tanners.
- It is important to undergo a patch test prior to treatment. As IPL applications may interact differently with each skin type, a skin test will be performed 24 hours to two (2) weeks prior to the treatment to ensure there will be no adverse side effects.
- Avoid sun exposure and tanning beds 6-8 weeks prior and self-tanners 2-3 weeks before your IPL treatment. SPF must be used during the course of treatment. Please note any system or supplement that darkens/bronzes the skin will postpone your IPL skin rejuvenation treatment.
- Areas to be treated must be cleaned prior to the treatment. Avoid creams, oils, perfumes, and aluminum-based antiperspirants the day of your treatment.
- For your safety and protection, the IPL 360 is FDA and Health Canada-approved.
AFTERCARE
POST-IPL SKIN REJUVENATION TREATMENT RECOMMENDATIONS
- It is normal for pigmentation and vascular lesions to darken within seven (7) days after treatment. This will gradually slough off the skin. Do not pick at the area, it is best to let it heal naturally.
- Your skin will return to its natural color shortly after IPL treatment, however, very rarely, some pink or redness may linger for a day or two.
- Avoid strenuous exercise, hot baths, saunas, and tight clothing for 48 hours post-treatment.
- Avoid all sun exposure for three (3) weeks post IPL, and be sure to apply sunscreen daily and reapply often.
- Keep the area hydrated.
- Do not rub or scrub the area 7-10 days post-treatment. Only gentile exfoliation can be performed 7 to 10 days post IPL.
- Good quality hydration and SPF protection of the treatment area are recommended. Apply moisturizer daily and sunscreen when you go outside.
- Use the products recommended by your service provider on the treated areas of your skin. Avoid products with Retina-A, alpha-hydroxy acids, glycolic acids, astringents, etc.
RESULTS AFTER IPL SKIN REJUVENATION
- It is essential that the recommended treatment schedule is followed for the best results. Multiple IPL sessions are required at 1 to 3-week intervals. Touch-ups may be required.
- Do not rub, scratch, or exfoliate the area for 7 days post-treatment. Gentile exfoliation can be performed 7 to 10 days post IPL.
- Good quality hydration and SPF protection of the treatment area are recommended. Apply moisturizer daily and sunscreen if you will be outside.
