Botched brows are everyone’s worst nightmare, but fear not, we’re here to help! We are proud to announce that we are one of the 3 spas on Vancouver Island able to offer permanent make-up pigment removal. This service can help soften the appearance of chunky brows and hard lines, and in some cases even completely remove the pigment, all depending on the previous work and each clients’ personalized needs.

So, how does this service work, you may be wondering. We use a product called Li-FT to remove pigments. Our microblading technician, Kasia, has completed her training program with the creators of Li-FT to remove pigment using NO chemicals, NO acids, and NO lasers! Li-FT is an all-natural, saline-based removal solution that is ethically created by professionals for professionals. It can be used to lighten permanent make-up and small body tattoos.

Who should get this service? Great question! Pigment removal is intended for those who have suffered a bad permanent make-up job, want to lighten their existing work, or completely remove the pigment. Below is a photo from the Li-FT page, after only 3 sessions. So if you like your brows, but they’re just a little too dark, don’t worry! A few sessions will lighten those babies right up to your desired colour for a more natural tint look.

Alternatively, sometimes brows can go horribly wrong… still, don’t worry! If you’ve fallen victim to poorly done microblading, Li-FT can yield some truly remarkable results for eliminating pigment. The photo below, for example, shows a big transformation after 2 sessions en route to complete removal.

For any additional questions about the product, process or cost, please call or email the spa!

  1. Hello ! How often can you have the treatment performed ? And what is the potential for scaring?

    Thanks!

    1. Hi Larelle!

Generally, 2-4 treatments are recommended. This depends on several factors: area of the body, how recent is the tattoo, how deep and saturated the pigment is implanted, each individuals’ healing process, skin sensitivity, and following aftercare instructions. Treatments can be done every 8 or more weeks apart.

There is always a potential for scaring if you don’t take good after-care of the area! In order to avoid any scaring we recommend you DO NOT disrupt the scabbing process (i.e. no picking, scratching, etc.) All scabbing needs to fall off naturally. If you force or pick a scab off you will disrupt the process and possibly cause scarring. It is critical to keep the scabs on as long as possible to achieve optimum results.
